Kitchen adventures: garden leftovers sauce


The rapidly falling temperatures stunted the growth of my eggplants and peppers, the poor dears. I gathered them up with some tomatoes and chives, who seem perfectly impervious to cold weather. I sauteed slices of eggplant, and put everything in the food processor with an onion, mushrooms, garlic, and a splash of soy sauce. My big freezer is nearly half-full of frozen sauces!
