My office has a casual dress code. Not business casual...
casual. Now, I spent a good amount of time and a very good amount of money acquiring a lovely conservative work wardrobe. And now, what's this? Sneakers and flip-flops are standard footwear? Heavens, I would never even dare try to sneak by with open-back or peep-toes at my old firm.
So I went a few days my standard skirt suit sans jacket. Then I swapped the work shirt for a twinset. Then, dressy jeans, heals, and a twinset. Finally, I gave in to
fit in. Kept the pearls! Cold dead...neck? Really, as long as there is a pressed suit kept ready to go in my office, no one cares what anyone wears. So my standard outfit is jeans, a plain t-shirt, pearls, and...these.

Now, these 3.5in heeled boots are as obnoxious as they are loud. However, they are, in all honesty, the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn, easily beating out Birkenstocks, Crocs, and even those fancy MBT sneakers I once tried. But comfort is beside the point. The point? They are loud. And I walk with a heavy gait. And, due to an errant - but entirely innocent and wholly inoffensive - CC'ed email, I learned that the paralegals directly below my floor have dubbed me "Cowgirl."
I like it.

Wow! LOL. I'm a native Texan, and I don't even own a pair of boots! I like yours!
Those are sweet! And you say they're comfy too? Whodathunk!
Comfy shoes are the only important critea. I have trouble with footwear thanks to odd feet & I can tell you a comfy pair of boots are never to be sneezed at!
I love your boots! I think boots and jeans are a great look. I've owned two pair of cowgirl boots and neither would I say rivaled my birks. But I'd love to find a pair that earned such a comfy status.
