I posted this picture to an alums-only networking page, and got 3 emails from people wanting to buy a copy. I thought this picture was a little odd, and it's not my favorite, but I am going to mail them all a nice copy (free) once I figure out (1) what kind of paper and ink I need and (2) whether a place like Kinkos can print it for me.Anyone else like this? I'm not wild about it. Not my best work. I was experimenting with aperture when the storm clouds rolled in. I was trying to capture that eerie, tingly feeling of a sunny afternoon just prior to a violent thunderstorm: ominous gray-blue clouds and sunlight hitting leaves at odd angles. I think the leaves look weird. I'm still on a no-non-essential-purchases diet; otherwise, I would get some photo-editing software and play around with it.

you know if you hadn't pulled me to look closely at the photo I would have probably blazed right over in a few seconds and moved on. HOWEVER- when I took more than a few seconds to look at it couldn't stop looking at it?
why/ I have no idea? the only thing I can figure is the questions it brings to me... is it a house barn? such great red color against the greens... the tree makes me want to do that thing i do with clouds and "see things in it"... the negative shape made by the trees keep me looking. i don't know but it works what ever it is. :) sell it don't give it away.
Brutally honest, tree looks cool but a picture I would go out of my way to get, not really.
Honest? I like the barn pics like your profile pic better. But it's not a *bad* pic.
Shane - thanks. For some reason, looking at the leaves for more than a few seconds hurts my eyes.
Dragon, Mrs. C - thanks! I am absolutely in looooove with this barn.
I'm with shane....I can't stop looking at it. There is something so odd about the shape of those trees to me...
