Free to a good home...

Free to good home: two stir-crazy dogs. UTD on all shots except the cabin-fever vaccine. Wonderful with children (Jack). Proven ability to outsmart child-proof locks (Jack). Proven inability to pass obedience class (both), walk without a Halti (Jack), behave (both).
Favorite activities include stealing socks (Jack), stealing food (both) , being bad (both). No returns.

Perpetual time-out.

Snow, snow, and more snow still falling! Every single highway shut down since this afternoon. This is utterly insane, ridiculous, and a little scary, too. I took Jack for a walk around 3pm only to find the local grocery store, drugstore, and Starbucks all closed. Said walk may or may not be related to the purply blue shade my lower left side is presently sporting.

Fortunately, we have not (yet) lost power, though several of my friends have. I am dreading the shoveling tomorrow will bring but, for now, enjoying various programs in the "I'm a huge dork" block of channels, snacking on my homemade hummus while a pot of soup simmers away.

Where do you live? Even my friends in DC made Starbucks.

LOL but they are so cute!

I am so sick of the snow too, and being snowed in and not able to go anywhere just makes it worse! We fortunatly aren't that bad but can't wait to see the white stuff go away.

I'll make a trade. Two Bad Cats for two Bad Dogs. ;-) You'll have to give drugs to one every night and mix up glucosamine powder into food that he won't eat without being tricked, which is hard to do because he's stinkin' smart. He has a bad attitude much of the time, and his kidney disease may cause him to pee on your bed. But he does love to snuggle and can be very, very sweet when he feels like it.

The other cat is sweet, but he is prone to knocking over flower vases and glasses of water. He also breaks TVs. (He's single-pawedly broken 2 so far.) But he loves singing, as long as you have a sweet singing voice. He'll come running to give you lots of purrs and nudges if you sing a song he likes. Right now, he's loving "You Took Advantage of Me." Fiona Apple's "Criminal" is a long-standing favorite.

So, trade? ;-)

AnneMarie - maybe. how are they in the car? (and I'd love to know how he broke TVs!)

Oh, they're terrible in the car! Calvin wails like he's being murdered, and Doogie tried to kill himself once. I swear he was trying to suffocate on his towel in the carrier. Death is better than the vet, I guess.

In the bedroom we have a dresser. The TV is on a stand next to the dresser. On the adjacent wall, but near the TV is my armoire. Doogie loves to be up on top of the armoire in summer. He jumps from the dresser to the TV, then to the armoire. Unfortunately, he uses the same route to get down. Eleven pounds of cat THUDDING down onto the TV from up high kills the TV after a while.

We did everything we could to deter him. Put a metal Star Wars tin that has a picture of Serious Yoda that terrifies him on top of the TV. He got around it. Put the bicycle horn we use for discipline on the TV. He's dumb, but not so dumb as to not know that the horn can't honk without one of us squeezing it. Put my ironing basket on top of the armoire right where he jumps. Calvin actually figured a way around that and showed Doogie. *sigh* They're in cahoots.

You'll get rid of those dogs either when Hell freezes over, or the Cubs win the World Series! You'll die first...
